There is no charge for the tour. Tips welcome and your donation to support our nonprofit work is appreciated.

ACRe received a grant from the 2026 Salem County Arts Re-Grant program, to conduct tours of the Alliance Colony in partnership with Stockton University and the Alliance Heritage Center.
Our tours will focus on teaching history through the lens of art and will include the Alliance Cemetery, Alliance Synagogue, Alliance Heritage Center and Alliance Mural.
Longtime Alliance resident and raconteur Howard Jaffe is our knowledgable tour guide.

Alliance Synagogue Trustee Emeritus Howard Jaffe has traveled around the world and lived many lives, including years of experience as a farmer and Israeli desert tour guide. Howard has maintained the Alliance Synagogue for decades as a labor of love and joined the ACRe board in 2018.
